The Central Hub, continued
Jack's Office

For a small area, Jack's Office is quite complex. Things aren't helped by the fact that things move around between seasons. In fact, I think they may even move around *during* seasons. This view is looking into Jack's Office from Owen's desk. (s1)

Closeup on the doorway. (s1)

Here's two s2 views looking towards the workspace platform doors. As you can see, Jack's desk is placed at an angle to the large round window, which looks out over the central Hub. To the left of the doors, looking from within, is some wire shelving holding techno-knickknacks. To the right, lies a bank of TVs/monitors.

Two more s2 images taken from angles moving further clockwise from the doors, showing that further round from the bank of monitors lies the safe and then, on the back wall, the ladder. Where the ladder leads from or goes to, I don't know.

Three s1 views of the same area, showing that the position of Jack's desk in s1 was almost the mirror image of where it is for s2. Note the coat stand near the ladder, which has been moved by s2.

These pictures show the doors on other side of the room to the workspace platform doors. These, in s1, lead out into what I call, for lack of another name, the 'display area'. This area is located by the stairs down to the Interrogation Room and also leads out into the central Hub close to the Armoury.

S1 images of the display area itself. Note that the notice board in the first image gives way at some point to a light-box display. Opposite the displays are the arcade video games we see Owen play in s1.

However, by s2, the doors themselves have gone, as has, I think, the display area. Jack's office now extends out into the space it used to fill. Note, the second picture gives a nice view of the railing looking down over the Interrogation Room. The third image shows Jack and Ianto standing by that railing, showing also the lit up cupboard/steriliser/whatever beyond them.

Some s1 images of Jack's desk.

Jack's, um, hole. *cough*

Jack and then Tosh at Jack's computer terminal. It's kept on a small wheeled unit and can be moved around the office.

Images of Jack's office back when it wasn't his office during the days of Victorian Torchwood. The view through the window is particularly interesting.
